Returns

We hope all our customers love their items, but we understand that sometimes returns are required.  We have tried to simplify our return process, in hopes that our customers will not have to go through too much hassle!  Please note that cash refunds are not issued on returns.  All refunds are issued in the form of a gift card or credit on commentsold. 

All returns for purchases made on ShopTheBYB.com or through our store front will be credited through a Be You Boutique store credit by being placed on a gift card (shopthebyb.com), that will be issued directly to your email.  Please note:  ShopTheBYB gift cards are only applicable on our website (shopthebyb.com), through invoicing, or at our storefront in Somerset, KY.  Gift cards do not integrate with the commentsold platform. 

If your order was placed through our Commentsold APP (Be You Boutique KY), your return will be credited to your Commentsold Account.  If you prefer your credit NOT be added to your commentsold account, please make a note when returning your item.


Returns Process:

    1. Notify us of your intent to return the item within 7 business days by contacting us at shopbeyouboutique@gmail.com, Facebook page (www.facebook.com/ShopBeYouBoutique) or through our “Contact Us” page. Before contacting us, please review the list below to see if your item qualifies for a return:
    • Store Credit is only given on items when we are notified within 7 business days of you receiving your shipment.   Please note that all returns must be returned to us within 14 days of you receiving your items.
    • Only 1 return is approved for each purchase.  If you return an approved item for the same purchase more than once an $8 restocking fee will be applied and store credit issued.  (This is not a limit on the number of items within an order that can be returned, but instead a limit on how many times the same item can be returned.)
    • Item must be in NEW condition.  All items must remain unwashed, unworn, free of any pet hair or odors and still have all tags attached.  If you return an item with makeup, deodorant, perfume or similar product stains,  your item is not considered to be in NEW condition.  Any item not received in NEW condition will not be refunded in any way.
    • Purchases made with a 20% off coupon received from signing up for our text club, emails, or BYB Apps are eligible for a one time return.
    • Permanent markdowns of 20% or marked as FINAL SALE or LAST CHANCE are not eligible for a return.  All {Last Chance} items and any discounted item (byb cash, bogo 50%, bogo, and other special promotions) that are considered 20% off (or more) from original retail value are FINAL SALE.  If you choose to return a FINAL SALE ({Last Chance} or discounted item, an $8 restocking fee will be deducted and you will be credited the current SALE PRICE of the item on the day your return is received.  An $8 restock fee will be assessed for each item/order when returning items from more than one order together.  Example:  At time of purchase your {Last Chance} item is 40% off, however when we receive your return, the current sale price is 50% off, you will be credited the sale price of 50% off minus any restock fee. 

    • Special Promos:  We do allow a one time return on purchases resulting from downloading our APP, signing up for texts or emails.
    • Jewelry, Swimwear, sunglasses, bralettes, bodysuits, hats and any other accessories are non-returnable.
    • Shoes must be returned in the original box and placed inside an additional, protective shipping box.  Damage to the shoe box makes shoes ineligible for return.  (Please do not attach shipping labels on the shoe box.  Shipping labels attached directly to a shoe box will make your item ineligible for a return, as we will be unable to sell them.)  If the box is damaged, an $8 restocking fee will be applied.
    • Denim promotion returns: We love our denim products and want our customers to love them just as much as we do.  Therefore we have established a one time exchange policy for denim purchased with a discount of 20% or more or through our BOGO promotions only. Please contact us for more information. 
    2. If your item qualifies for a return please contact us letting us know your intent to return an item.  Include a copy of the invoice with your item and ship back to us within 14 days of you receiving the item.  If your item is returned to us after 14 days, an $8 restocking fee will be deducted and we follow the process as described above.  All returns after 30 days will be rejected and returned to you at a charge.   After discussing your options for having your rejected return shipped back to you, we will donate your item to a Women’s charity if no resolution has been met within 45 days.

    3. Return Shipping is the responsibility of the customer.  We do recommend purchasing tracking and insurance on all packages as Be You Boutique cannot be held responsible for packages that have been lost or damaged during transit. If Be You Boutique has to to pay additional postage, it will be deducted from your refund along with a $5 inconvenience fee.

      4. Once we have received your return we will process your return within 7 business days.  Refunds will only be issued in the form of store credit, applied to a Be You Boutique gift card, valid on ShopTheBYB.com or in store OR credit on your commentsold account where applicable.  If rewards were used on an item you are returning, there will be no cash value of the rewards returned to you as this was a discount only.  Discount codes will not be reissued.

      5. If you make a purchase at our retail location our return policy is still in affect.  If you are unable to return your item to our retail location within 14 days you are welcome to mail your item to the above address or contact us to make other arrangements.  Online purchases can be returned to our storefront as long as your item qualifies for a return.

        Holiday Returns

        Due to the nature of gifting during the Holidays, Be You Boutique will extend our 14 day return window to January 1st.  During this period, all other Return policies are still in effect. (Example... items purchased more than 20% off, door busters, special sales, etc will still be FINAL SALE)

        The Holiday Return policy will be EFFECTIVE Black Friday ~ January 1st.  

        Exchanges

        Due to the limited availability of our items, Be You Boutique cannot guarantee exchanges.  Therefore, if you would like to exchange an item we recommend returning the original item to us & repurchasing the item from our site.  We are unable to hold guarantee items for exchange.


        Refused or Undeliverable Packages

        Refused or undeliverable packages are subject to return shipping costs that vary by shipping method.

        • Domestic Shipping - $8.00 return cost
        • If you choose not to have your order re-delivered, we can refund you the cost of the items as a store credit, but the original shipping cost and the undeliverable charges will be deducted from the refund as well as a 20% restocking fee.

        Damaged or Defective Items

        Please inspect your items immediately upon receiving them.  If you feel you have received damaged or defective items, please contact us within 2 business days of receipt of your order.  Unfortunately we are unable to make exceptions once merchandise has been in your care for more than 2 business days, has been worn, or washed.  (Also note… slight pattern variations and placements are not considered defective.)


        Damaged or Defective Return Process:

        1. Notify us of your intent to return the item within 2 business days by contacting us at ShopTheBYBReturns@gmail.com .
        2. Please include clear pictures of the damaged/defective area of your item
        3. Once we receive your email you will hear back from us within 24-36 hours.
        4. If we confirm that your item is damaged/defective we will issue you a prepaid return label as well as our return form for you to include with your shipment.
        5. We ask that you mail your item back to us within 7 days of you receiving the item.  Please mail your item back to us in the original (or like) packaging.  We recommend that you have your item scanned when dropping off at the USPS so you can keep the receipt for tracking purposes.
        6. Once we have received your return we will process your return within 7 business days. 

        Cancellations

        While we know you will love your items for ShopTheBYB.com, we also realize from time to time that orders must be cancelled.  Please note that due to payment processing fees there will be a 10% restocking fee applied to cancelled orders.  Please know that this is not something we benefit from as payment processors no longer return credit card, paypal, or sezzle fees once a payment has been made.  Please note that if your order has been processed we will be unable to process a cancellation.

         

        Price Adjustments: We do not make price adjustments on prior purchases or apply coupons after a purchase has been made.
